The candidate must have a passion for science, engineering and STEM.
The 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Science Teacher is expected to plan, organize and implement appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential in the field of middle school science.
Plan for class activities, including preparing units and daily lessons plans, preparing class projects, giving feedback on completed work to ensure mastery of presented material, and grading of tests and assignments in a timely manner.
Maintain all required record keeping, lesson planning, and other duties while maintaining confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students, and other school matters Communicate with parents on a regular basis regarding assignments, events and individual student needs.
Collaborates as a team player with teaching colleagues and administration The ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with parents, students, and co-workers.
Work is performed under the supervision of the principal.
All duties, schedules and responsibilities are assigned by the principal.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University required in the field of science or science education, master's degree preferred.
Holds and maintains a Teaching Certification by the State of Florida in the appropriate subject area and level.
Teaches, and acts consistently in accordance with the mission, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the school, and the curriculum of the Diocese of Orlando and promotes the ministry of Catholic education.
Participates in the Diocesan catechetical formation requirements, professional development, faculty meetings, and other responsibilities as a faculty member.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
